His professional interests lie mainly in Learner Autonomy, and, in particular, dictionary-training, so that students are able to become more independent. When not working, Mati is an avid traveller, having spent time in over 50 different countries on five different continents, and can usually be found with either a good book or a stack of photography gear seeking a good spot to shoot.
